Soups and Broths Festival

The most awaited event of the São Paulo winter, gave rise to all the other Ceagesp Gastronomic Festivals. The great attraction, without a doubt, is the famous Onion Soup, in versions au gratin and without au gratin. It is this steaming dish that attracts thousands of people to Ceagesp every year, whose fame has lasted for over 50 years.

Every week, six flavors of soups, including onion versions, are added to the menu. The following week, new options replace the previous ones. But the Onion Soup always remains on the menu until the end of the event.

The Ceagesp Soup Festival is also celebrated for having unique and unconventional flavors. Along with the best Onion Soup in town, throughout the event, the public will find attractions such as Creme de Pinhão with Cream Cheese, Sopa de Pedra and Caldo de Quenga, options that have already gained fame among regulars.

For a fixed price per person, you can taste all the soups you want. The buffet price includes side dishes such as grated cheese, ricotta, roasted pepperoni, croutons, breads, among others. Charged separately are drinks, desserts and antipasti table items.

The Festival was created in 2009 during the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Companhia de Entrepostos e Armazéns Gerais de São Paulo. The success and approval were so great that it became an annual event and one of the most awaited festivals by the public in the winter months.

Behind this success is the rescue of the recipe for the famous Onion Soup, which was served at the former Ceasa, now Ceagesp, from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s.
