CEAGESP Tatuí

The city of Tatuí has two warehouses for grains and non-perishable products such as sugar to meet the need for local storage and that of neighboring cities. The CEAGESP Tatuí works only for the storage of products and not for commerce, whether wholesale or retail.

CEAGESP maintains the largest public network of silos and general warehouses in the State of São Paulo, managed by the Department of Storage (DEPAR). Together, the chain’s units have the capacity to store more than 850 thousand tons of products. There are 18 active units located close to the productive centers present in the capital and in the countryside of São Paulo.

CEAGESP Tatuí Warehouse

Storage is classified as one of the main activities developed by the Company, knowing that agricultural production is the farmer’s greatest wealth, it offers the best storage conditions for the harvest. It has adequate structures for storage, with large cylinder-shaped deposits to store agricultural products, where they receive the goods and house them safely and with quality so that there is no loss.

Each of these centers is located at strategic points, close to highways for easy circulation, making the process of receiving and distributing goods more efficient. Other care is required, such as correct and quality handling at the time of transport to avoid damage to the goods.

The CEAGESP makes a link that runs through the entire production and marketing chain of these products, allowing the rural producer and final consumer to come closer. When the consumer buys any of these products (fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, miscellaneous, fish and grains) whether at fairs, super and hypermarkets, restaurants or grocery stores, this merchandise has most likely been purchased through a CEAGESP.

Likewise, it can also be concluded that companies need agribusiness, because without the producer, it is not possible to obtain goods to carry out their activities. These points also highlight the importance of agribusiness in Brazil, which generates numerous benefits, such as: high competitiveness, high degree of use of technology, generation of jobs and wealth for the country.

Difference between Warehouse and Warehouse

The warehouse is like the stock of non-perishable foods such as sugar and grains, CEAGESP Tatuí, for example, stores these and other products. The warehouse is the name given to the place where different types of products are sold, in the case of other CEAGESP units it is where the sale of vegetables, fruits, vegetables and others takes place. The Tatuí unit does not have a warehouse.
